Yesterday's Saturday Night Movie House on Channel 5....

Wow! Finally a show worth watching! It was CONGO! So, I'll basically tell u all the plot for those who didn't see and then, I 'll go to my opinions.
At the starting, it showed a few people who were trekking in the Congo Jungle. One of them was a CEO's son who was there to help his about 50 year old father search for diamonds. THere was also a camera brought with them to record down the whole expedition. Halfway through, they were being attacked by a strange black creature with EXTREMELY SHARP TEETH.(it was yellow too(the teeth)) There was only 1 survivor and while he was resting, the monster threw a bloodied eyeball at him. Then, he went mad and the camera was being smashed up and it went "zzzzz tiao!" Thus, the CEO sent a his daughter in law with 2 people who taught an ape how to use sign language. One of them invented an object that could allow mute or dumb people to talk using sign language and the voice would come out.
They caught a plane and flew alll the way to africa and were caught by a bunch of afro-americans. The girl used about 4 wads of thick US dollars to bribe him into letting them go. THey were accompanied by a man who was greedy for diamonds and another nigro( how to spell nigro?) with a bunch of safety guards. They boarded another plane to the b oarded of the CONGO jungle and were shot by 2 or 3 people with BAZOOKAs! The plane exploded and they jumped out of it with parachutes. Story to be continued......
Immediately! Then, they lugged their heavy luggage and camped at a safe place for the night. When dawn broke out, one of the scientists( the one who 'owned' the gorrila) had a leech on his private part. ( that's what i tink) The leader of the safety guards asked him to burn it off with a cigarrete. OK, to cut the story short, they trekked on and on and on and found the sacred place where all the diamonds were held. The greedy man muttered something about Solomon's diamonds. Upon entering, they treakked on and on and on again and went into what I thought was the heart of the volcano. They found LOTS AND LOTS of jewels strewn allover the ground. BUT then, there was also a bunch of old and hairy apes guarding it. The scientist and the nigro man and the girl went into hiding behind a pile of rocks and the girl made some contraption that could blast a laser. This part was ULTRA GORY and she sizzled the apes and their guts flew out. OK then, the four of them, the nigro man the girl and the scientist plus the ape ran out of the mountain with only 1 jewel. The ape was reunited with her type and they flew back and lived happily ever after. THE END!
My opinions: The show was actually quite gory and I feel that maybe it was rated NC16. The storyline was good but I feel that maybe they should add another climax to make the story even more interesting. I feel that maybe the producers could consider not adding so many characters and suddenly let four live and the rest all die. ALthough I would applaud them for thinking of such a BRILLIANT plot. It was actually quite similar to the compo MC asked us to write."a jungle trek" Maybe they could consider adding maybe pirahnaes or monkeys that stole their food.
