Yesterday, while I was having my aikido lesson, my teacher called me and two classmates over. He told us that we were doing taichi when we were performing our moves. I was like really meh? I thought I was doing quite well. So he continued and said that I was like half asleep when I was doing my moves. An idea of a zombie popped into my mind. Zombie because it is the half dead and half alive creature. So I was really shocked! I was doing Aikido in zombie mode? Wuw! Must be quite boring for him to watch. Continuing, he asked me to punch him and he did a demo of us doing slow motion mode. I was surprised! It really was buay ta han and I really had to empathize with him. He said in Japan, the instructor and the whole class would laugh at us if that was the way we did it. This is was the part where he told us a saying. "I will not teach you. You will have to steal it from me." So it practically says that he will not say anything like which foot or hand to put forward first etc. We, the students, have to study it and grasp everything within that short period of time that he is demonstrating it. So being a instructor is actually quite easy. If the students don't listen, its their problem. So for those who don't listen, really cham lor.
So if I do anything, I have to put 100% mind and body into it. That way, I'll be able to concentrate and do better. I think. That way, I should get better results or end products too.
