Yesterday, I went with my father to GV Tampines to watch the movie Max Payne. I didn't really know if the movie was nice but the commercials on TV looked convincing so I watched it. Overall it was quite interesting but the plot didn't really have much originality. Basically the plot was about this guy called Max Payne who worked as a detective and he wants to avenge his dead wife and partner blah blah blah. So, he finds the last person who saw one of the dead person who died and the body parts were sawed apart. Then, they meet that guy and he commits suicide because he took some lame drug that makes u see some sort of a hybrid between a bird and an angel creature that comes and grabs you.
The whole scene after that will be Max and the sister of the dead person mentioned above chasing after the creator of the drugs. They learn that it's a failed project that only works on 1% of ppl tested on. Max goes beserk and runs into the hideout of the 'creator' and amazingly kills everyone without getting shot. I find this part ridiculous. It's like running into a losing battle but you become some sort of Matrix or superman that is so pro that bullets are to slow to hit you. Then, he runs into the boss and they fight. Obviously, it's the hero that will triumph and he nearly dies but an old man appears suddenly and shoots the boss.
Then, the old man betrays him by putting the drug in Max's pocket and throws him in the sea. It was currently winter so there were chunks of ice in the water. Somehow he gets out of the water. He nearly numbs to death but he takes the drug and goes crazy again. The drug makes people hallucinate. Then, he kills the old man and then the movie ends. This plot is somewhat like the Batman Begins plot. Same hallucination thing and the bad guy dies blah blah blah. But this movie is not bad but maybe they could extend it a bit
