Sometime back, Karthi called me and asked me to play bowling. I was shocked. Because i had never played bowling before. Seriously. I could not tell him I had not bowled before. It would be very pai seh. So, I told him I would consider. Today, I met Ben online, he told me he would teach me.(sort of)So, I went today to the E Hub with Brandon,WK,Melvin,Ben,YiJane and Farah. When we reached there, we booked 2 games. I was 2nd last.lol. So, I watched Ben throw the ball since he was my 'teacher'. It went into the gutter. I was like What the... he's my teacher and he sucks at this game?(First impressions)I couldn't believe it. When it finally was my turn, I was under so much pressure. I kept on thinking what if I went into the gutter or did something embarrasing? It would be so humiliating. So, I somehow begged the ball to go straight. It went into the gutter...But on the 2nd throw, it hit 8 pins. WooHoo! I was ecstatic. A noob scored 8 points! I never ever tried this game before. Lady Luck must be smiling on me!
Following that, I had a streak of good luck.I was thinking how much fun bowling was. Until, my luck ran out. 6 throws consecutively went into the gutter. I was cursing myself on how pathetic I was. I was so so frustrated when each throw went into the gutter. One by one. I kept wanting to quit. My score stayed status quo while everyone else's score went up. I was so angry with myself. On the 8th throw, I was expecting a gutter after those failed attempts. but I got an 8! My bad luck was running out! But my losses were too severe.lol. So, I ended up 4th. It was quite a fun experience but I hated losing. haha. But who doesn't?
