Yesterday was my first Home Economics lesson. At first, I had the thought that Home Econ was for girls and it was a subject that was a total waste of time. But after the lesson, my views of it began to change. (No Offense.) Well, we were cooking spaghetti for our first lesson. It looked so complicated when the teacher told us what utensil was used for what and blah blah. At the End of it, I think I only absorbed about 50% of what she said. Luckily, she wrote everything on the whiteboard. First, I started boiling the spaghetti. Then I went to do the cutting of the ingredients and started to heat the oil until the spaghetti started frothing! I was flabbergasted.lol. I had never experienced this before! I took off the lid and it stopped frothing. I was like What The... How come it suddenly stopped? Then the teacher told me it was something about the air being unable to escape... After I started frying all the ingredients something freaky happened. There was like totally no sauce on my spaghetti SAUCE, just that all the ingredients were red in colour. I took a look at my friends one and found out he had so much sauce he could put it in a cup and drink it. The teacher came over and held a tomato sauce bottle upside down over my saucepan. Blobs of sauce came out! Finally, it was done and it wasn't chao da ! I was rejoicing over my first cooked meal!So my views of Home Econ started to change. Now, I think it's quite fun and much much much better than staying in class listening to a Chinese teacher drone on and on and on.
